Duck Dex Basics

The important stuff to know before you start collecting.

What is the Duck Dex?

The Duck Dex is the Sweet Pond's collection system. Collect different ducks, discover new ones, complete themed collections, earn XP, unlock achievements, and build your personal collection.

How do I start collecting ducks?

During stream, look for a Channel Point reward with DUCK HUNT in the reward name. Any reward with DUCK HUNT gives you a random duck.

What happens when I get a duck I already own?

It becomes another copy in your collection. Your quantity increases, but your unique Dex count only increases when you discover a duck you did not already have.

What is the difference between my duck quantity and my Dex progress?

Your quantity is how many total copies you own. Your Dex progress is how many different ducks you have discovered. Duplicate ducks increase your quantity without increasing your unique Dex count.

How ducks get into your collection.

What is DUCK HUNT?

DUCK HUNT is the Channel Point reward used to collect ducks. Any Channel Point reward with DUCK HUNT in its name gives the redeemer a random duck.

Can I get ducks in other ways?

Yes. Ducks can also come from things such as Golden Eggs, special rolls, event opportunities, and direct Duck Drops. Some ducks may have specific availability requirements.

What is a Duck Drop?

A Duck Drop is a direct duck award. Instead of receiving a random duck from a normal DUCK HUNT reward, a specific duck can be awarded directly to a viewer.

Can I see which ducks I am missing?

Yes. Use !missingducks in chat to check the ducks you still need. Your personal Lily Pad also shows your collection progress.

Can I see my collection?

Yes! Use !myducks for your duck inventory, !duckdex for your Dex progress, or visit your Lily Pad for your personal collection dashboard.

Not every duck is equally common.

What do the rarity levels mean?

Ducks are assigned different rarity tiers. The rarity shown on a duck's Dex entry tells you which tier that duck belongs to.

What are special rolls?

Special rolls are special outcomes in the Duck Dex system. They include Lucky, Legendary, Mythical, and Event outcomes.

Are event ducks available forever?

Event ducks can have limited availability. The Dex is the place to check a duck's individual availability information when it is provided.

What are retired ducks?

Retired ducks are ducks that are no longer part of the active collection pool. They can still be part of your collection if you obtained them while they were available.

XP, Ranks & Collections

Your collection can grow in more ways than one.

How do I earn XP?

Your Duck Dex activity contributes to your XP and progression. Your current XP, level, and progress toward your next level can be viewed through your personal stats and Lily Pad.

What happens when I level up?

Leveling up is part of your progression through the Sweet Pond. Your Lily Pad keeps track of your current level and your progress toward the next one.

What are collections?

Collections group ducks together by theme. Completing a collection contributes to your collection progress and can connect to achievements and milestones.

What are achievements and milestones?

Achievements recognize specific accomplishments, while milestones mark progression goals. Both can be tracked as part of your personal Duck Dex experience.

Where can I see my XP, rank, and collection progress?

Your personal Lily Pad brings your progression together, including your Dex progress, XP, level, rank, collection progress, achievements, rewards, and Lily Pad treasures.

What can I see on my Lily Pad?

You can see your Dex progress, total pulls, missing ducks, XP, level, rank, collection progress, achievements, rewards, and Lily Pad treasures.

What are Lily Pad treasures?

Lily Pad treasures are special collectibles that can be awarded to your personal Lily Pad. They represent special accomplishments, community roles, milestones, events, or other awards.
